No new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in our region over the weekend.  However, the Porcupine Health Unit does say that three cases in Timmins have proven to be one of the variants of concern.

Officially, it’s called B-1-1-7 and was first detected in the United Kingdom.  No further testing will be done on these particular samples, and the health unit says vigilance with public health measures remains critical.

And there are still spots open at Monday’s vaccination clinic at the Claude Larose Arena in Hearst.  Contact the health unit to see if you’re eligible, and to make your appointment.
