Cochrane to North Bay passenger train was just a test, not the real thing

You weren’t seeing things on Wednesday, when you saw what looked like a passenger train on railroad tracks.

Ontario Northland staged a test run between Cochrane and North Bay.  Company spokesperson Renée Baker stresses it was only a testing exercise.  It was meant to collect and validate data on safety and infrastructure in case passenger service does return to the Highway 11 corridor between Cochrane and Toronto.
