UPDATE AT 4:15pm: PHU reports three more cases in the Hearst-Hornepayne area. They are numbers 304, 305 and 306. One is part of the outbreak at the Maison des Pionniers substance abuse treatment facility. The other two are the result of contact with a previous case.
The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in this region has climbed to 303.
The Porcupine Health Unit reports that one new case has been diagnosed in the Hearst-Hornepayne area. It’s under investigation to determine how it was contracted by the patient, who is now in self-isolation.
