Six sexual assault-related charges have been laid in connection with a series of alleged offences two summers go in Moonbeam.
Provincial police say they happened between June and September, 2019.
A 43-year-old Timmins resident goes to court next month on the charges that include sexual assault on someone under 16, and forcible confinement.
The suspect’s name isn’t being released, in order to protect the victim’s identity.
CHARGES
- Â Extortion, contrary to section 346(1.1)(b) of the Criminal Code (CC),
- Sexual Assault on a Person Under 16 Years of Age, contrary to section 271 of the CC,
- Forcible Confinement, contrary to section 279(2) of the CC,
- Overcome Resistance by Administering or Attempting to Administer a Drug, contrary to section 246(b) of the CC,
- Sexual Interference, contrary to section 151 of the CC, and
- Invitation to Sexual Touching Under 16 Years of Age, contrary to section 152 of the CC.
