The Little Long Dam Safety project located north of Kapuskasing is being allowed to proceed under the province’s state of emergency.
That’s the word from Ontario Power Generation Stakeholder Relations Advisor Kate Cantin. She says that the project is a dam safety requirement and has been deemed essential so work on it continues. Cantin adds that strong COVID-19 protocols are being followed by all staff on site, while others working on the project who are not on location are being asked to work at home wherever possible.
Last spring during the first provincial lockdown the project was halted for several months.
