A $4.00 investment by each of five oncology nurses at Timmins and District Hospital came back to them in a big way.

The screams of joy were almost deafening, when the nurses were told their number came up… and they were splitting just over $386,000.  So for their four-buck shares, they each walk away with a tad over $77,200.

Manager Lorna Green had been talked into splitting on a ticket by her staff, saying Green has a history of luck on her side.  What motivated them was the group of seven firefighters who won the November draw, but it was a paltry $232,000.

The members of Green’s team sharing the windfall are Joy Cormier, Michelle Foster, Louise Biglow and Sharon Mills
