Positive COVID-19 carrier was on two flights into and out of Timmins in early December

More potential exposure to COVID-19 on airplanes is being reported by the Porcupine Health Unit.  It says the person with the confirmed case is from outside its area, but is being isolated somewhere in the region.

That patient was on an Air Canada flight from Toronto to Timmins on Wednesday, December 2nd, then a Timmins to Peawanuck  flight via Moosonee the next day.

Because the confirmed case did not originate in this region, the health unit is not adding it to its count.
