The individual resides in the region of Matheson, Cochrane, Iroquois Falls, Smooth Rock Falls and is in self-isolation.” It does not mention the school in Cochrane.A case of COVID-19 is reported at the French Catholic school in Cochrane.A letter to parents and staff says that someone at Nouveau-Regard has tested positive. It doesn’t specify whether it’s a staff member or student at the K-12 facility that also has a daycare centre in it.It goes on to state the same information and advice from other instances of the virus being detected in a school in the Porcupine Health Unit region: Attendance records have been shared with PHU; any close contacts with the positive case will be contacted by the health unit; and families should closely monitor for COVID-19 symptoms.
