The Kapuskasing District Chamber of Commerce is bringing back memories of the Christmas Wish Book this month. The Chamber has created its own book that’s full of gift ideas from local businesses. Donna Todd says the idea first came about following a discussion with Chamber officials and business owners about how to get everyone shopping local during the holidays.
“The products that are available from our local merchants, and 58 of them participated in this event,” she said. “There is something for everyone, from children to ladies to men, to household items.”
Todd says there is a section for the hard to buy on your list.
“And at the very back there is a section of businesses that have gift certificates and gift cards at their establishments,” she said. “So if you are not sure what to get somebody for the holidays, you can always get a gift certificate from the participating merchants.”
Five thousand copies will be distributed across the area and there are prizes to be won for just using the book.
