There should be some news later tonight on how much longer delays will be in garbage collection in Kapuskasing.
Town staff is expected to update council on the status of the garbage truck that suffered some issues due to the road conditions. That’s one of several public works topics that will be addressed along with an update on the government road construction project and why it is being delayed and pushed to the spring.
Council is also expected to approve a 2.4 per cent increase in recreation fees and a slight adjustment of point five percent in other municipal user fees. According to town staff the increases are due to the Consumer Price Index which is applied following a comprehensive review after each municipal election.
