(Bob McIntyre, MyKapuskasingNow.com staff)There is word of two new spots affected by COVID-19 in our region.The French Catholic School Board reports that there’s a confirmed case at Ecole Louis-Rhéaume– an elementary school in Timmins – and one class is in isolation. The report on the board’s website provides no other detail.And Tuesday night, the Porcupine Health Unit issued a bulletin about potential exposure at Mike’s Restaurant in Timmins. A person who has since tested positive was there on Thursday, September 24th.The health unit says anyone who was also there between 5:00pm and 8:00pm should be self-monitoring for 14 days. That period ends this Friday. If you’re experiencing symptoms, you should self-isolate at home and call the health unit.
