The Royal Canadian Legion’s Chairlift fundraising program received a big boost this week. The Tim Horton’s Smile Cookie Campaign presented the Legion with a check for a little over $8,100. That’s the proceeds from the week long sale of $1 cookies. The Legion needs to raise more than one hundred thousand dollars to install a chair lift as well as two brand new wheelchair accessible bathrooms.
