Much of Kapuskasing in dark after lengthy power outage

A portion of Kapuskasing was in the dark on Sunday afternoon. Power went out for Northern Ontario Wires Customers or most of downtown Kapuskasing shortly after 1 pm and was restored at about 5:40 pm. 

Kapuskasing did experience another windy day that could have toppled some branches on power lines as a probable cause. Moose FM reached out to Northern Ontario Wires to get a cause for the outage but no calls were returned.
