We’re expecting to hear from the Kapuskasing 100 committee next week regarding some upcoming announcements. That’s the word from chairman Julien Boucher. He wouldn’t elaborate on what they may be and says the dates were pushed back due to back to school return for children in the region.
“We are excited because 2021 is coming pretty quickly, and we are starting to put things together – and in a couple of weeks we will have some news for the community,” Boucher reported.
With COVID-19 still part of our daily lives, Kapuskasing’s 100 celebrations could be ongoing during that pandemic.
Boucher says they are looking at back-up plans whatever the scenario may be.
“We are planning all of the events on the dates we chose at the beginning and we will just postpone them if they are not working out or something happens,” he said.
