New monthly lottery launched by Timmins and District Hospital Foundation

The Timmins and District Hospital Foundation has launched a monthly 50-50 lottery, to help fund equipment and renovations.

Donor services manager Barb McCormick says it’s all done online, at www.timminsdistrict5050.ca .

“There’s options for ticket prices of $5, $10 and $20 and with each of those price points, there’s various numbers of chances to win the lottery,” she explains.

The guaranteed minimum prize is $7,000.  The first draw will be on September 30th, then the October draw kicks in.

You have to be at least 18 and an Ontario resident to participate.

McCormick notes that the hospital serves communities right up the James Bay coast, and closer to Timmins.

“Hearst, Kapuskasing, Smooth Rock, Iroquois Falls, Cochrane, Matheson, Kirkland Lake, New Liskeard,” she lists. “You know, the list goes on.  There’s so many various areas that benefit from having a district hospital.”
