Another person in Timmins has died of COVID-19. That brings the death toll in the Porcupine Health Unit region to nine.
Medical officer of health Dr. Lianne Catton says the man in his 70s was admitted to Timmins and District Hospital after having tested positive on July 19th. She also points out that this is not an institutional outbreak.
His positive test was one of 73 reported in the region during the pandemic.
