After being cancelled in the spring due to COVID-19, Kapuskasing’s clean up week is nearly here. Mayor Dave Plourde says you can start leaving your unwanted items at the curb beginning August 31st.
“We just came up with a date and everyone can start putting stuff out on August 31st and it will be picked up right until Labour Day which will be the last day,” he said.
Plourde says they’ve received a number of inquiries from local residents on a reschedule date.
“I think people are excited about this and have put stuff by the curb already,” he said. “They can’t wait to have this happen. It’s a small gesture to make sure our community is clean and picked up and keep the standard that we are noted for.”
