It appears Donat Brousseau Pool in Kapuskasing is inching closer to reopening. Recreation Director Marc Clavelle told Town Councillors last week that the pool could be open either August 31st or near Labour Day. He adds that the pool has been repainted, and was refilled with water thanks to help of the Fire Department. Clavelle noted that pool staff was being trained on the new COVID-19 safety regulations. Appointments will be needed for things such as distance swims, and only a small amount of people will be allowed to use the change rooms at one time. It’s also expected that lessons won’t be offered until at least October.
