High school model being finalized: DSB One

Now that the province has given the go ahead regarding the back to school plans, it’s now up to the school boards to work on how both the elementary and high school levels will be delivered. District School Board One officials say they are finalizing the high school model including the number of classes the students will take and how they hope to fit all eight credits into a school year. Officials added that they hope to reveal those plans near the middle of August.

Yesterday, Director of Education Lesleigh Dye mentioned that students will take two classes for each half of the semester to limit the contact of students with other students, staff and teachers.  Today parents are asked by the board and the province to start registering their children for school regardless of how many years their child has been part of the system.
