As we inch closer to a holiday weekend, the Porcupine Health Unit has some advice if you are thinking of traveling especially to a potentially high risk area. Health Unit officials ask you to check government websites and an interactive map to see what regions are high risk. If you are traveling from a region that has a large amount of coronavirus cases then the Health Unit wants you to consider self-isolating as much as possible. After you return from traveling, the Health Unit also reminds you to self- monitor for symptoms for 14 days as you continue with your daily routines. Meantime, for a seventh day in a row the number of COVID-19 cases in our region remains the same at 70 with one still active. There have been 11 thousand 5 hundred and 58 tests conducted.
