Flex bus officials conducting survey to improve service and ridership in Kapuskasing area

Officials of the new flex bus in the Kapuskasing area are looking for your help. A new online survey is available and Al Robichaud they want input not just from those who have used the bus, but from everyone so they can make it better and increase ridership.

“I would encourage people that have seniors or parents that don’t have their driver’s license to take the survey with them,” he said. “That way they can tell us what kind of service they would like to see.”

Robichaud with the Flex Bus says one area they want feedback on is bus hours.

“If the hours would change would it be more convenient for you,” he said. “We are at the point where if we want to increase ridership for the flex bus then we have to ask many of these questions to see if the hours are good enough for everyone.”

A total of 371 people road the bus, in the first nine months, accounting for 864 trips. There were an additional 169 grocery orders placed when the service was offered from March to mid-June due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
