Two local businesses helping Connection Centre with recycling fundraising campaign

Two local businesses are teaming up to help the Connection Centre in Kapuskasing. AIM Recycling and GT Plumbing and Heating are encouraging you to drop off your metal goods starting tomorrow at a bin located at the recycling facility on Gurney Road. AIM Recycling Site Manager Kevin McKinnon says this event has special meaning to him because the Connection Centre helped him when he was starting out. He added that he was able to get many of the amenities to set up his apartment and still have enough money to buy food.  The recycling materials will be collected until July 9th and the amount raised will be donated to the Connection Centre to help with some of the operating costs. The Centre has been like several organizations in the region that have fallen through the cracks of provincial and federal funding grants available due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
