Health care is undergoing many new changes due to the COVID-19 rules and regulations and that includes visiting your family doctor. Denis BerubeĀ interim Executive Director with the Kapuskasing Health Team says you must pass through two COVID-19 pre screenings before you are allowed to enter the new offices.
“If the pre-screening at that time is negative of signs and symptoms then you will be allowed access to the building wearing a mask,” he said. “If you don’t have a mask then we will give you one here that we have onsite.”
Berube says everything is become a bit easier.
“Physicians are still encouraged to do as many virtual consultations as possible,” he said. “There are certain things where you do want to see your patients. At least now, they can start booking those for appointments.
The new medical building just opened recently in Kapuskasing across from Sensenbrenner Hospital. It features a number of doctors offices, waiting area, examining room and even a pharmacy.
