Thinking of others during this COVID-19 pandemic is something we have all tried to do. Now a church in Kapuskasing is taking that to another level. Abundant Life Christian Fellowship is hosting a take-out meal this Friday night from 5:30 to 6:30 at the Life Centre Doors. The church members are making a turkey dinner with all of the trimmings. Kitchen leader Lisa Brander says everyone is invited and you don’t have to be a member.
“Absolutely anyone is invited over to our church to grab a meal,” she said. “If you have had a crazy day and don’t feel like cooking, we will feed you.”
Brander says the church members want to do something to help their community during these difficult times. She adds they’ve had to make some changes to their kitchen set up due to COVID-19.
“We have always had a healthy amount of people working in the kitchen,” she said. “But due to COVID-19 we have had to reduce those numbers for social distancing.”
