Little Long Adam Creek project north of Kapuskasing on hold during COVID-19 Emergency

The Province’s decision to halt major construction projects during the COVID-19 emergency has affected the Little Long Generation Station north of Kapuskasing. Kate Cantin with Ontario Power Generation says the project has been put on hold until the COVID-19 outlook improves. She adds that the contractor has been wrapping up a number of items to make the site secure and safe for employees. That work should be completed by the end of the month. The Little Long project adds four sluice gates and makes reliability improvements to the existing Little Long, Smoky Falls and Adam Creek sluice gates.
