Personal protective equipment donations still needed in Kapuskasing

Donations of Personal Protective Equipment or PPE are still being accepted in Kapuskasing. Town Administrator Guylain Baril says the uncertainty of the length of the COVID-19 emergency could put a strain in supplies for First Responders in the region. He adds the donations are be tabulated and will be ready if needed.

“All of the PPE is being stores in the Centre De Sante because they have a great storage area with lots of space,” he said. “It’s all being inventoried and then made available.”

Masks, eye protection, hand sanitizer, protective gowns and gloves are being collected by the Kapuskasing Fire Department by appointment only.

“They will respond to the calls and will set up an appointment for you to drop off the donations,” he said. “We are still using the south side of the fire hall for everything.”

To set up an appointment please call 705-335-0910. Donations are being accepted between 11 am and 3 pm.
