The Flex Shuttle bus in Kapuskasing has added a new service during the COVID-19 pandemic. Val Rita-Harty, Opasatika Economic Development Officer Alain Robichaud says grocery delivery has been added three days a week with 10 trips each day.
“So before the bus leaves around 2 pm with its passengers to bring them home, it heads over to the Independent and picks up the groceries to be delivered on the way back,” he said.
The Centre De Sante, Larabies Independent and the Flex Shuttle have joined forces to offer the service.
“You can call the Centre De Sante and either email or fax your order,” Robichaud said. “The order will be sent over to Larabies to be filled out. “We are really excited to have the partnership with them and offer the service.”
