A new approach is being taken by Kapuskasing Town Council tonight regarding it’s regular meeting. Councillors will be getting together via Zoom video conferencing tonight at 6 pm instead of meeting at Town Hall. During the COVID-19 Pandemic, the province approved the use of video conferencing by Town Council to run their meetings and vote on important items.
Two recommendations highlight the agenda this evening. One is for Council to wave penalties and interest on all utility billing and property tax. The second is that Fire Chief Pat Kennedy asking council not to declare a municipal emergency as there is no need to do so.
