The Porcupine Health Unit’s first case of COVID-19 outside of Timmins is one of two new ones reported.
A woman in her 50s went to the emergency department at Lady Minto Hospital in Cochrane last Saturday. She’s in that hospital in stable condition.
The other is a woman in her 40s who was tested at the assessment centre in Timmins, also last Saturday. She’s in home isolation. The health unit says both women picked up the virus on travel outside the country.
These cases bring to six the number detected in PHU’s region.
