Here’s who’s playing at Porquis Music Festival

The line-up for the newly named Porquis Music Festival has been released.  It runs July 17th to 19th.

Artistic director Jack Larabee says taking the stage on opening night will be Tony Prophet – son or Ronnie Prophet, and a resident of Iroquois Falls – as well as Stompin’ Tom’s son, Taw Connors.

“We also have the Weber Brothers,” notes Larabee, “which is a production company out of Peterborough who’ve worked with Ronnie Prophet and Churck Berry and a few other artists.  They play all different types of rhythm and blues music.”

Saturday will include the acoustic blues of Suzie Vinnick; a very percussive Swedish band; and an act that will remind you of Leahy.

“The Fitzgeralds are three siblings and a fourth member,” Larabee explains. “They do Celtic music with violins.  They’re violin award winners.  The choreography and their tap dancing is just phenomenal.”
