Your kids might not be too pleased with the news that they have a full school week this week.
A mediator has called the Ontario English Catholic Teachers Association back to the bargaining table with the province, so the union has called off rotating strikes.
However, English public schools in our region will be closed on Friday. The high school teachers union will be on strike. DSB-1 will close its elementary schools, too, because some education workers belong to the same union.
**UPDATE** All French Catholic schools in our region will be closed Thursday, February 27 because of a province-wide strike by its teachers’ union.
