Winter Carnival this weekend in Kapuskasing – plenty of events for entire family

It’s winter carnival weekend in Kapuskasing. There are many suppers taking place including the Frank J. Selke Centre tomorrow night and the Royal Canadian Legion on Saturday. Legion publicity chairperson Debbie Morin says part of the proceeds from their meal will help purchase a chair lift.

“We have been advised that by 2021 all commercial buildings must be wheelchair accessible,” she said. “We are are going to make all three levels of the Legion easier for everyone to get around.”

Morin says they are adding delivery this year.

“If people can’t make it out to our event and don’t want to cook they can call us and we can deliver the meals to them,” she said. “There is a two dollar delivery charge that will go directly to the driver.”

The Legion supper is from 4 to 7 pm.  Some of the other Winter Carnival activities include, free public and family swims at the pool, and the Knights of Columbus Kids Carnival on Sunday.
