Elementary Public School students out twice this week as part of One-Day Strikes

It’s an on-again off-again school week for elementary students of District School Board Ontario North East.

They only have classes today, Wednesday and Friday.  Teachers will be on strike tomorrow (Tues.) and Thursday, pressuring the Ford government to negotiate a contract deal with their union.

That’s Diamond Jubilee Public School in Kapuskasing and Clayton Brown Public School in Hearst.

Meantime, elementary and high school students at Grand Riviere French School Board will be out on Thursday as part of the one-day strikes. All french schools across the province will close on that day.

There is no word from either the Ontario English Catholic Teachers Association or the Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation.
