The first of two walking forums organized by the Porcupine Health Unit takes place later today. Those 55 and over can drop by the Kapuskasing Indian Friendship Centre between noon and 2:30 for lunch, to hear several presentations including tips and tricks on winter walking. Health Unit Officials say they will talk about proper clothing, footwear, and even exercise. The second forum will be held tomorrow (Friday) morning from 9 am to noon at the Centre de Sante. Those who are there will be invited to test out the walking facility at the centre. There is no need to pre-register for these events and just invited to drop by and hear what is going on. Two more Winter Walking forums are planned for later on this month in Smooth Rock Falls and Hearst.
