Teacher Unions and the Province resume bargaining

The Ontario English Catholic Teachers Association will resume negotiations with the provincial government on Monday. It’s the second teachers union to resume negotiations, following a series of rotating strikes. The province has been meeting with repreentatives of the English Teachers Federation of Ontario for the past two days. There’s been no word on what progress, if any, has been made…..but the two sides will continue talks again today. Job action is planned for Monday for Elementary School teachers in the Kapuskasing Hearst Smooth Rock Falls area at Diamond Jubilee Public School and Clayton Brown Public School representing District School Board One Ontario Northeast. They will also be out again on Thursday. The English Catholic Teachers have planned a one day job action closing schools including St. Patrick’s School in Kapuskasing on Tuesday
