There is a new club starting in Hearst that hopes to make you more ecologically friendly. Lynn Glazer is creating an Eco Club with the first meeting set for Tuesday, Feb. 11 at the Hearst Library. Glazer says the idea for the club started through lunch with a friend and adds that interest from people has been excellent.
“There is a lot of positive feedback from just meeting people at the grocery store wanting to sing up for our group,” she said. “I’m also getting people on social media through Facebook posts too.”
Glazer says the format and direction of the club will be determined by the members and that first meeting.
“Do they want to have speakers, or tips and tricks, save money, or perhaps be more ecological,” she said. “The group is for the members so we will see what we decide to explore.”
If you are interested in joining the group, please contact the Hearst Public Library at 705-372-2843.
