Getting closer to a logo for Kapuskasing’s 100th anniversary

Close to 25 logos were submitted for Kapuskasing’s 100th anniversary. That’s the word form Anniversary Chairman Julien Boucher who noted that the participants ranged in age from student to adult. Boucher says our way of life was depicted in the entrants, and adds the next step is to start designing.

“We will ask a graphic artist to create two logos for us to choose from,” he said. “One will be a basic design, and the second one will include many of the ideas that were given to use in the submissions such as the Civic Centre, Kapuskasing River, and snowmobiling. To those people that’s what they say is Kapuskasing’s way of life.

Once the two logos are created, then a final selection will be made. The logo will be used in all of the marketing areas of Kapuskasing’s 100th anniversary that is now less than a year away.
