Kapuskasing Town Council introduced a new incentive program giving you a chance to win one of five $250 prizes for changing the way you receive your water bill. Administrator Guylain Baril says they currently have about 20 per cent of the water billing done online. “We think the majority of our customers have an email address and access to internet,” he said. “I think shooting for 50 per cent for us would be a good win.” Baril says the Town is willing to help those who may not have that access. “Someone who wants to move to e-billing and doesn’t have an email address or the internet, they can provide us with an email address of a son or daughter,” he explained. “It doesn’t have to be in the person’s name.” Those who are currently getting their water bills via e-billing are automatically entered into the draw. A lucky winner will be announced during each council meeting starting in February with the last draw to take place on June 30th.
