We have our first New Years’ Baby in our region! Charlene Crawford of Cochrane gave birth to Reena Crawford at Timmins and District Hospital on New Years’ Day at 5 am. Reena wasn’t expected until sometime in February, but that didn’t stop her. Mom Charlene says despite being born five pounds and four ounces, everyone is doing great.
“I’m doing good knowing that she is well taken care of here,” she said. “She is not any IV or breathing tubes nothing like that. We are just anxious to get home.”
Mom Charlene says that Reena was born a day after her sister’s birthday.
“Just because my sister’s birthday was December 31 so I made her a belated birthday gift,” she said.
