*UPDATED WEATHER RADAR* Severe weather could miss our region

Much of Ontario appears to be in for a wallop of bad, icy weather.  But Timmins, Iroquois Falls, Cochrane, Kapuskasing and Hearst look like they’ll be spared.

There’s a freezing warning in effect for south and west of Timmins, through Timiskaming District.  Environment Canada radar shows the storm system’s edge to be running in a line from northwest to southwest, just skirting past Timmins.

Hydro one is bracing for snow, freezing rain and high wind tonight into Monday, cautioning customers in the central and southeastern Ontario storm zone that their electricity could be interrupted.

Of course, that weather will have a negative impact on holiday travellers trying to get home on the highways and airlines.
