It can be difficult to be alone during the holidays. But one event is trying to make everyone feel closer at Christmas. It’s the 2nd annual In Good Company Luncheon set for Christmas Day from 11 am to 1 pm at the Kapuskasing Golf Club. Organizer Julie Tremblay says this type of event can bring single people and families together for a special time.
“Nobody should be alone at Christmas,” she said. “We are welcoming anyone whatever their religious affiliation is. Single people, families are all invited.”
The luncheon consists of a meal, small gifts for the attendees and games for the children.
“If the weather turns out to be good we want to bring the children sliding or maybe have a snowman making contest,” Tremblay said.
