Plenty of activities to mark Remembrance Day in Kapuskasing area

If you are looking at attending or being a part of Remembrance Day Services in the Kapuskasing area, there are a variety of opportunities to choose from.  Services begin on Sunday morning with a procession at St. Patrick’s Parish in Kapuskasing. That will be followed by a service at the Fauquier Cenotaph. Royal Canadian Legion President Hays Patterson says one of the big events is the banquet on Monday night to help put everything into perspective.

“Well it’s about getting together and remembering what’s happened in the past and what’s going on currently with peacekeeping around the world,” he  said.

There is a full schedule in Kapuskasing on Monday starting with the parade formation at 10:30 followed by the service at the Cenotaph at 10:50 am. There will be a lunch and then the banquet that will both take place the Legion Hall. For further information or to book your tickets for the banquet on Monday night please call the Legion at 705-335-8895.
