Looking for some fun and unique activities for your family on Halloween night? There is a haunted house located at 40 Gurney Road in Kapuskasing that will be open from 4 to 8:30 pm. Homeowner Rene Poitras encourages people to come and bring donations to help the Kapuskasing Food Bank.
“People just love to come out and drop off non-perishable food items or cash as they make their way through the haunted house,” he said. “I’m hoping to put 500 people through it this year.”
Over 300 people went through the haunted house last year and the Poitras family was able to collect over 250 pounds of food. Poitras says their haunted house started out small but has quickly grown.
“We only had half the garage done to start in our first year, but we have expanded quickly,” he said. “My wife Rachelle really got into the Halloween spirit the last four years and loves to decorate for it.”
