Astronaut to touchdown in Timmins presentation livestreamed to 9 towns

It’s not every day that a Canadian astronaut comes to town.  That’s set to happen in Timmins next Thursday, November 7th, and nine other places are going to have online access to him.

Dr. Dave Williams flew two space missions and took three spacewalks.  District School Board Northeast One chairman Bob Brush says Williams is coming to speak to educators… and then to the public that evening.  His topic: motivation and peak performance.

“We’re so happy to have him because talk and his experience fits in so nicely with our strategic plan, which is empowering all learners to reach personal excellence,” Brush explains.

Williams will be at the Dawson Theatre at Timmins High School at 6:30 that night.  His talk will be livestreamed to nine other DSB-1 schools.
