News Try the new Flex Shuttle it’s free during October SHARE ON: Denis Puska, staff Wednesday, Oct. 16th, 2019 Image by Ryan McGuire from Pixabay You may have heard about the new Flex Shuttle Service in the Kapuskasing area? Now is your opportunity to try it for free until the end of the month. Approximately 20 people have used the service in the first week, and Kapuskasing Town Councillor Sebastien Lessard says what may be holding people back is that they need to book in advance. He adds one of the reasons why is to properly service the outlying communities from Moonbeam to Opasatika. “That’s something that people might be afraid of trying out,” he said. “They can call the number or visit the website to book their ride.” Lessard says the main users of the shuttle thus far are from the smaller communities. “From one community it comes around about 10:15 or 10:30 in the morning,” he said. “It brings the people to their appointments in Kapuskasing, Walmart, their favourite store or perhaps a friend’s house.” Lessard says people have been thrilled with the service because it offers them more mobility to get around and get business done. He adds that those who have used the service already plan on booking more trips. For further information visit www.flexbus.ca or call 705-335-3988.
