Adjusting to the new government road layout! It’s taken everyone a few weeks to get use to the new traffic lanes and intersection on Government Road. Town Administrator Guylain Baril says they’ve received lots of positive feedback except from some truckers. He adds the intersection at Brunelle and Government Road is a tight area for them.
“Where we have had complaints is moving on and off of Brunelle Road to Government Road,” he said. “Luckily we don’t have too many trucks and transports that use Brunetville and Brunetville Roads very much.”
Construction crews were seen at the intersection this week moving back some of the lines so truckers have a bit more of an area to turn. There has been even some discussion about purchasing some of the property where the former Shell Service Station was located so they can create a turn lane similar in other communities.
