The Northeastern Catholic District School Board has a new person in its top elected position… following the resignation last week of Rick Brassard (brah-SARD) of Englehart.
Trustee Colleen Landers of Timmins has assumed the chairmanship for the next two months… at least until the meeting when positions are renewed or filled with new trustees… something that happens every December.
Fred Salvador (SAL-vah-dorr) – also of Timmins – replaces Landers as vice-chair.
Brassard’s resignation came on the heels of him being charged with a child pornography offence.
