Downtown BIA To Hold More Draws Via Social Media

Even though the draws for $1,000 have stopped, it doesn’t mean the contests are over. Kapuskasing BIA President Luc Dinnissen says they have launched a Facebook Page where there will be more opportunities for people to win great prizes.

“The Facebook page is called Circle Town Square and people will be able to see stories and videos on local businesses,” he said. “We will also be doing some neat contests where we will give away more prizes.”

Dinnissen says the $1,000 draws were quite successful with the number of participants growing every week.

“Our number of participants were doubling every week since the first draw,” he said. “Everyone seemed positive and happy with the contest and like the types of things we are doing downtown.”

The draws and the Facebook campaign are part of the Kapuskasing BIA’s marketing plan to push people to shop downtown.  The plan also included a new logo, street signs and flags.
