It was a night of celebration and appreciation. The Kapuskasing District Chamber of Commerce Held their 29th annual Awards Gala on Friday night at the Centre De Loisirs.
Lecours Motor Sales captured the night’s top prize as Business of the Year beating out Hart Store and Office Pro-Kapuskasing.
Alan Spacek was honored for his many years of hard work and dedication to business in the area by being given the Lifetime Achievement Award. Rene Labelle and Scott and Simone Knowles were also nominated for that prize.
The Small Business of the Year was presented to Les Boys Sports, while the new Business of the Year was Rody’s Retail.
Jessica Lallier was chosen as the Young Professional Of The Year, while the Kapuskasing Food Bank was selected as the top Not-For-Profit Business. Le Spa By Mel took home the Excellence in Service Award and Truly Northern picked up the PIC Prize for Productivity and Innovations.
Officials were thrilled with this year’s sold out event, and wanted to thank all of the dedicated volunteers who worked behind the scenes and made it a success.
