There is plenty of hockey this weekend in Hearst and Kapuskasing. Tonight the Lumberjacks face off their 2019 Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League regular season at 7 pm versus the Kirkland Lake Gold Miners at the Claude Larose Arena. It’s a busy weekend of three games in three nights for the Jacks, with other match-ups on Saturday at home versus Powasson and Sunday in Cochrane. The Kapuskasing Flyers are back on ice twice on Sunday at 1:30 and 6 pm with a pair of exhibition games versus the Rouyn-Noranda Citadels at the Sports Palace. The Flyers regular season is about two weeks away.
